Meet Dr. Monica Lee D.C.Hello, Living Well Chiropractic community! I’m Dr. Monica Lee and I’m a new practitioner joining Living Well Chiropractic here in Abbotsford, BC. I would like to first introduce myself and give you a little bit of information about my background. I started out my career as a professional musician. My first piano lesson began at the age of five and violin at the age of six. I remember from my early childhood that music was going to be a very special part of my life and would stay with me for as long as it can. I pursued my career to be a musician and received my Bachelor of Music in Composition from University of Toronto. Now how does one choose a whole different career path as a musician to a chiropractor? It all started with my chronic pain that I had back in 2011 and I was fortunate enough to have been introduced to a NUCCA doctor. From my first visit, I was shocked to see how distorted my posture was and the tight muscles in my shoulders which have been bothering me with playing the piano and violin were all related to the misalignment in my neck. At this point in time, I was a busy undergraduate student practicing long hours of piano and violin as well as writing music. I was not in good shape. But after my first treatment, my shoulders relaxed and my performances with piano and violin drastically improved. I also noticed that I was able to focus better on my studies because I no longer had much pain. I continued seeing my NUCCA doctor for a few years. After graduating from university, I knew I needed to pursue this as my career. After a big decision to change my career, I moved to California to study at Life Chiropractic College West which is a school that Dr. Freund also graduated from. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic in 2019 and now I’m here to start my fresh career in Living Well Chiropractic! I’m excited and happy to meet all of you to help you get back on your way to feel empowered about your health! |
